Should you desire to take a foray off campus, within just four blocks, you'll find the Village of Salter Path, with its seafood restaurants, a draft house, convenience stores, and more. There's a vendor who parks across the street frequently, and he serves the best shrimp burger on the Crystal Coast!
The North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and Fort Macon State Park at Atlantic Beach are just a short drive away, with a variety of nature and bike trails interspersed throughout the island.
